I just installed an Oceanic 175 gallon Bow front. My question is...i
have 2 filters, a Cascade 1500, and a Cascade 1200. Is there such a
thing as too much filtration?

The general consensus as I understand it is that there is no such thing astoo
much filtration. It *is* possible to have water flow currents that are uncomfortable and too strong for your fish. The threshold depends a lot onthe
specific fish that you have in the aquarium. Some prefer calmer water, others---
prefer strong currents to swim and play in.
