    Tak,
Welcome to the board, It is BRAND new, so features will be appearing rapidly. Tell your friends, $30.00 a year for full access, would be free, but I gotta pay the cable bills! Osirus has you set up for free, but keep it to yourself. BTW, your wife is welcome free too! Will set her up ASAP after she logs on!

ENJOY! And if you want any doors, or IGMs for LORD added, just let me know!

Wait wait wait...do you mean you are going to try to CHARGE $30.00 a year for BBS access? Have you lost your mind? <G> No one will pay it when there are 50 more BBS's out there just like yours.

umn, you don't have even a dyndns, and you are running a stock setup *and*
you want to charge for access? suggestion, if you *must* try and charge,
then give an hour for free, and allow for upgraded acct's, if there is something of value to your bbs, you might just get it... if you can't
afford the cable bill on your own, I would suggest seeking FT employment.

That's a pretty strong allegation. Although this isn't really the correct forum for a debate, I would disagree:

    1. That the BBS scene is getting "killed", indications are it's on a rise again 2. That pay/commercial BBSes have/had anything to do with the contraction of
    the BBS scene.

But what do I know? :-)

Heh, well I will agree they are on the rise again. folks getting tired of
being out in the cold of the net, and coming back to the nice little home fronts.

As for comnercial systems, I wouldn't know when I did run one years back it
was free, although you could subscribe and double your time, and of that the money always went back into the BBS.
But to be honest if you doing this to make money then your in for a huge
let down. There's no possible way you can match the endless storage of the internet.

it makes a nice hobby running a bbs I can remember running one back in the old dial up days - and it was free never charged a dime for it, all my doors unfortanetly were never registered as they are now , I now have more money
then before to register all my door games for the users enjoyment
all doors are now registered and I still will not charge anything
for access to the bbs , I just see no point in it , it is a old hobby

never even considered doing them all... I ran a BBS back in the earlier
