    is there a way i can call up the "Other Synchronet Systems" command and by-pass the external programs menu?

    You can use ungetkey to stuff a command in the keyboard buffer. :-)

    Find out the internal ID off that command and in whatever menu you want it in put in a command to execute.

    EXEC_XTRN "INTERNALID"

    you should see examples of how to do that in whatever shell you are using.
