• Rumors Mod..

From Melkor@STARFRON to All on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 21:51:00
I downloaded a Rumors mod that has the src file.. When I tried to
compile I got an error.. Ive looked through the Baja Docs and cant
seem to find what I need to fix it so I figured I would post it here..

The error is Syntax Error (expecting variable name)
    c:\sbbs\exec\rumor.src 76 c:\sbbs\xtrn\rumors\rumor.1

The full line that is getting the error is this..
    chkfile c:\sbbs\xtrn\rumors\rumor.1

Can someone tell me what I need to do to fix this?

Put quotes around the filename. Of course that should be a relative path (not "c:\sbbs\etc.."), but that's an unrelated problem.

    Quote the string-literal argument.

DM got me fixed on that one.. Unfortunatly had a problem with the exe
file it uses for adding the rumors.. No source for that one..:)

Found a differnt rumors baja mod and it works.. Only thing I dont like
is it doesnt translate the @ codes.. They show up fine if you list
rumors from the add rumors area but not when it displays the rumor for
some reason.. No src file for hit just already compiled bins so Ill
just make sure everyone knows that the @ codes dont work..:)
