    Just trying to get set up. I don't have a license yet, but soon.
    If I make a copper J Pole can I use it upside down? Just pull it up in a tree with the 2 legs pointing down.

    You technically could, but you wouldn't
    get as far of a range theoretically.

    If you got it up high enough, it might
    not matter.

    You're basically making a Zepp antenna. The j-pole was originally designed to be made of wire and trailed off the back of a Zeppelin, effectively making it an "upside down j-pole"
