• Attempt to draw outside of screen: 78x29 > 80x24

From Holdfast@PIRATE to All on Sunday, September 10, 2023 13:54:02
I keep getting this message when reading from my Amiga Term program at the top of each message just under the subject. Not all messages, just some. I was curious how to fix it?

Attempt to draw outside of screen: 78x29 > 80x24

    Thanks,

    Holdfast

In your user terminal settings on the BBS, do you have the screen lines set manually or set for auto-detect? How many screen lines does your terminal actually have?

You said "when reading", so I assum you mean "when reading messages". Are you using the built-in message reader or a message reader module (e.g. msglist.js or DDMsgReader)?

On a side note, what terminal program are you using? You should be able to set it for 80x25 (or 24), usually. I've been using Term 4.8 that is pretty nice. If you have a TCP/IP stack, I heard DCTelnet is where it's at.. but you could also use "telser" program to use Term 4.8 with telnet/tcp. NComm and JR-Comm are a couple other terms I heard were good that I've been meaning to try. But Term 4.8 can be set to color and 80x25 and I even found a "clean IBM" font that seems to make ANSI look quite nice. Previously, I tried Terminus and it seems I was stuck with an odd screen res like yours on that one, though I didn't
    mess with its options much.

I've been using TERM 4.8. Works pretty good. I was just curious what the message meant. I'll fiddle with the settings.
