I love the new stock door games that come with the new SBBS. Where can I get more like them?? I was looking at the setups for them, and they seem pretty straightforward. I want to add more doors, just don't feel like spending hours configuring them like back in the day. Thanks in advance :-)

Those are all JavaScript games written specifically for Synchronet and they *are* pretty easy to setup.

You can find more like them at http://cvs.synchro.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/xtrn/ Examples: ansiview, dicewarz2, gooble, maze, synchronetris. From the "local" authors: echicken, mcmlxxix, and Art.

They main point you need to remember is to add each door to your ctrl/json-service.ini file as well as the configuration in SCFG.

Check out BBSLink.net - it makes it real easy to add about 10+ games, all registered and all are running on a central server that about 20+ boards connect to. It's a pretty cool setup. Almost no configuring needed, just add the path to the bbslink script and the command line is like "?bbslink.js LORD" etc..

Thanks for the pointer -- I think I'll retire my old Global War instance and connect to theirs. It's kinda quiet around the games these days...

I have a couple doors you may or may not be interested in. One is a game called "Doubles," which is an adaptation of the 1024/2048 game which was popular last year. The other is not a game, but a collection of standings and schedules for sports leagues called "Sports Stats."

These are both JS doors, and you can find them at these links:

thank you for this one! the first time i played it was a couple of years ago on a Mystic system where it had been ported/written in Mystic's pascal-like scripting language... once i got the hang of it, it was pretty enjoyable to play...

I think must've been some old bug. The original message had an invalid timestamp:

i think you're right... the first 3 of 15 messages i have in here have that bad date in them... the header also says "87.x years from now" instead of "blahblah ago" :)

i didn't even look at the date when i saw the post... i thought i was already caught up in this area but apparently i wasn't...

There are quite a few stock games in your /sbbs/xtrn directory. Some are installed by default and some are not.

Kirkman has also written a Doubles game and the sports stats doors in JS. You can get them at his BBS (Guardian of Forever) and on the net but I have forgotten where ATM. I think a google search will find them if you'd like to look them over.

Ooo... An ANSI version of 2048? I'm interested! I wull see if I can get it
on my BBS (new SysOp here, hadn't got to do doors yet).

I have the link saved in a text file for me to be able to copy-and-paste
