    Hello Sam,

PXW capitalizes the password so your Wildcat password should be all Capital Letters & Numbers.

in pxtools when you you try to use editor it asks for a username and

Latest Internet Rex is v2.31 which was a beta.

did either when i try to run the batch screen comes up the disappears

I have Internet Rex v2.31 using PXW v7.0 and WINS v8.0 all working ok using Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

This would be the username and password of your personal account that
you use to log into your BBS with all the time.

As far as InternetRex goes, what do the program logs show? I've had it
working with 6.x, 7.x and now 8.x for years now.

Actually this is not correct. For me, PX and Wildcat! accept the
password no matter what case I enter it in.

You might want to try and set IREX to use PX/DOS mode. I believe this
was the same problem I was having, and switching it to think it was
reading PX/DOS config files seemed to have fixed the issue.

    Hoping this helps.

To use pxTools, the password in WINS must have all capital letters as when
you type the password in pxTools it will capitalize the letters.

So "password99" in pxtools & WINS will not work.

But "password99" or "PASSWORD99" in pxTools and "PASSWORD99" in WINS will
    work.

I beleive when Hector wrote PXW, WINS was not yet case sensitive.

Hector updated PXW to be able to installed on a 64 bit OS but has not updated the code for a long time.

Whether Hector has the time or inclination to update PXW would be be nice to know as there a few changes that could do with.

I don't think that will happen but like you wish it did<g>, however he might consider making a hook for an external version just like Vmodem. I am using
the latest version of Netserial without any issues moving echos every hour to
    a downlink.

As the co-ordinator of xpressnet, it would be good if you could get some traffic flowing on possible fixes and updates to PXW.

If Hector sees some traffic, he may consider minor fixes / updates if he
thinks it may generate some sales.

    Good point.

Are you and Hector setup with each other for xpressnet?

If so what protocol is being used?

If so can you send Hector mail to 99:1.1?

Sorry for all the questions but trying to understand the situation.

The answer to this one is no, so the answer to the other questions will be the same. However, when Hector and I were discussing this, he was wanting to exchange mail with me via FTP, which I can do, but have not done or had to do in quite some time.
