I heard something about California wanting to let violent criminals, even serial killers, out of prison because they might catch the virus behind bars.

Does that sound good to our liberal friends in here? What about the victims? Can they be let out of their graves - in case the virus makes its way into
    the soil?

I live in upstate NY. Protesters were protesting at the county jail
recently, demanding the release of all inmates because of "poor conditions"
in the jail. Our whole state already sprung free who they call "non-violent" offenders in January. So who's left in the jail? People who democrats consider "violent." And that's who the protesters want to see walking out of the jail.

What do we want to do in this case, my democrat friends? Do we want to
legalize all crimes? Or do we keep crime illegal, but hand out some silly pieces of paper requesting court appearances?

"Please show up for court in two months to respond to your murder charge."

"Don't escape to Ecuador while waiting for your court date - that will result in additional charges."

    Hello Aaron,

    [..]

The governor pardoned murderers with victims including children & pregnant
women. They're all free now thanks to the Chinese Virus and liberals who manipulate people and viruses.

Keeping people locked up in prisons, nursing homes, insane asylums,
juvenile detention homes, immigrant detainment centers, etc., is a
death sentence given the current novel coronavirus outbreak.

We should release them all. Immediately.

So this should open your eyes to what your democrats are doing for you.

Pro-life democrats. I love them all. Each and every one of them.

I don't know what state you live in, but when we start "pardoning" people
    who murder children,

Pro-life means from the moment of conception to the moment of
natural death. Killing people is not part of the equation.

    then it makes the job of the military kinda pointless;

Soldiers are trained to kill. Those who are pro-life are trained
to protect life, rather than to kill.

why fight to protect our nation's children while people like Newsome are
fighting to protect those who murder children? And this is in addition to
his already popular slogan "don't abort your baby - kill it the day its born."

Doctors, nurses, and other health professionals are not trained
killers. Even though many under their watch wind up dead.

When a person is sick, he/she seeks help from those who can help
them. Why? Because most people want to live rather than die.

See how that works? A doctor/patient relationship. A doctor
advises his/her patient what is best.

    Woman: I feel sick.
    Doctor: You're pregnant.
    Woman: What do I do?
    Doctor: Have a baby.
Woman: Is there anything else I can do?
Doctor: Yes, but I can't tell you.
    Woman: Why not?
Doctor: Because I took an oath.
    Woman: An oath?
    Doctor: First, do no harm.
    Woman: Holy shit.

So thanks so much for your service Dan but you're doing us an even bigger

Actually, I thought an isolated environment such a prison would be
safer from the virus than the outside.

It would have been safer if it were isolated. But prisons are far from isolated. The prisoner population lives in close quarters, with
constant contact with other inmates and with prison staff. The
prisoners have visits from outside. The prison staff goes home. Either
of those things could have brought the infections into the prison. Once
it is there, it spreads quickly because of the close quarters and
    contacts.

The only thing I can see to do now is to separate and quarantine the
infected prisoners and staff, clean the entire environment and prevent
any further contact with the outside world.

    Hello Aaron,

Like people in nursing homes, those in prisons are also severely >LL>affected by outbreaks of COVID-19. As well as those in mental >LL>institutions and other places of mass incarceration. We should
let them all out, finding a place more suitable for them so that
all can at least have a chance for survival.

We talk a lot of crap to each other in here - conservatives vs liberals -
but this is a serious situation that we really should try to find common ground on.

    The issue is saving lives.

The president's fixer - Michael Cohen - gets a pass. But not
prisoners who did not lie for your beloved president or old folks
in nursing homes or those seeking asylum from other lands who are
holed up in detention centers or folks in insane asylums or any
other people who are stuck in group homes of one kind or another.
Better for them to die - quickly if possible.

James Carville famously said, "It's the economy, stupid!" as the
mantra for Bill Clinton to defeat Bush41 in 1982. This time, the
issue is about people. Real people. "It's the people, stupid!"
should be the rallying cry for Joe Biden, as he leads the charge.

The naggy part of me wants to say "Lee, people in nursing homes aren't >incarcerated - they are free to go, but have nowhere to go," and that
"people who are in jail or especially in prison have unfinished crime
    sprees they need to complete."

People in nursing homes are dying by the droves. Just like people
in prisons and other places of mass incarceration. There really is
no stinking difference between those places with the exception that
prisons are where folks who have been convicted of some crime are
    being held.

In regards to the novel coronavirus, people being held in nursing
homes and other places are in the same boat as people being held in
prisons. They are not free to go. They are not allowed to have
visitors. They are being held against their will. Hospitals will
not accept them as patients. The only way they will be getting
out is in a pine box, after they have kicked the bucket.

And a funeral for a friend? Forget about it. Not even sure
if any of them will be able to get a proper burial. Cremation?
Not enough special chemicals available to do the job ...

But the more relaxed me wants to say this:

Crime victims, especially murder victims, disagree with letting the last
person they saw before they died - use coronavirus as an excuse to have
their crimes excused by some governor who wants votes from lowlives.

Nobody deserves to die. That includes those who have committed
the most heinous of crimes. Sentencing people to death by refusing
to provide a lifeline is despicable.

Years ago, Louisiana governor Buddy Roemer decided it would be a
good idea to put prisoners to work. So he ordered prisoners at
Angola to build a gurney for prisoners who were sentenced to death.
The entire population of inmates rioted, and the governor was forced
    to withdraw his request.

Buddy Roemer went on to lose his bid for a second term in the first
primary, with David Duke beating him out for a spot in the runoff.
The next day thousands of Louisiana voters put a bumper sticker on
their cars that read "Vote for the crook. It's important." - the
other guy in the runoff being former governor Edwin Edwards.

Both Duke and Edwards wound up going to prison. Duke only had
to spend one year, for a crime far worse than Edwards. Edwards
had to spend ten years, for a crime that many consider not being
a crime at all. Go figure.

So. There you go. Even those on life row deserve to live.

Of course, the Lefties can never make you safe. They are, without exception, completely incompetant.

Have you ever tried psychiatric medicine? I don't really think you're old enough to have served in the military, but a lot of former military members call psychiatric drugs "candies." These "candies" can help people, like you, and many others too.

You're not alone. The CDC estimates there are upwards of 600,000,000 people worldwide, suffering from symptoms that range from inability to read to permanent hallucinations.

Luckily, there are treatment options. Check in with a psychiatrist; they have "candies" that work, you just have to try a few until you find the right one and the right dosage.

But aren't you concerned about his VP pick? (Actually probably more like the
    DNC's pick)

Haven't you heard? It's a done deal. Next week, the big event
takes place on screen in living rooms everywhere with "Becoming"
    - starring Michelle Obama herself - on Netflix. As you know,
many Democrats are begging Joe Biden to name his choice for vice
now, without having to wait until the convention in August. So
prepare yourself for what happens next once the show is over.

Remember, Michelle Obama said it herself. She's a hugger.
And people absolutely adore her. Oh what a wonderful choice
    she will be.

His VP pick is very important because SHE will need to serve as POTUS while
    Joe serves his jail sentence.

For what? Getting up in the morning and forgetting to put
sugar in his coffee? He'll have staff to do that for him, so
    no worries there.

Joe Biden's sex assault case is likely going to interfere with his
    campaigning;

There is no case. The woman who is making the false accusation
never bothered to file a police report 27 years ago when she first
made it all up. And then she changed her story, several times,
along with changing her name, so many times that nobody including
herself knows what (if anything) happened. Now that Biden is the
presumptive Democratic nominee she finally decided to file a police
report and expects everybody (including her dead mother) to believe
    her? Not gonna happen.

is presidential campaigning allowed in the DC lockup?

I dunno. I always thought the state of New York would lock
up your beloved once he leaves office.
