Or is everyone busy chasing the Z6 stations and getting tuned up for Bouvet, which should beging any day now.

The Bouvet Team is anchored off the island and looking for the first WX window to get on land and start setting up.

I've got Z6 on 20 SSB and Phone. Looking for Digital and 10, 12, 15 and 17 to open. My MFJ-1775 dipole not making it on 40. Will have to wait for the
furor to die down on that one. By the next contest season this one should be easy.

    Bouvet I need 12, 15, 17 and 20. Doubt if I'll make that one on 40 unless
FT8 workes. I need CW and Digltal mode for that one.

GL to the Deserving and see you in the pile-ups.

Well is WAS a group of Amateurs who were going to activte the island for about two weeks or until the 28th of February.

By now everyone should know that they were not able to land on the island because of rough seas and bad WX so the helicopter could not take off.

The the ship had engine trouble so the Captain canceled the operation and they are heading to Capetown, Africa for repairs.

There is talk of rescheduling the operation but no dates have been announced.

I have read that the weather around Bouvet is often rough.

Maybe by then I will have a shortwave radio of some sort and can listen in. <grin>
