    Hi All!

I just received my NanoVNA a very, very low cost low performance network vectore analyzer.
I paid less than 50 USD including shipping.
Beware some are selling it without battery (you need USB power to run it.
Mine sadly did not have the shielding but it has a battery equipped.
It can handle up to 900 MHz (new firmware supports 1500 MHz but has reduced accuracy).
I am no expert, currently just used it to measure antennas.

I bought one recently. Seems to work really well, once calibrated. Need to buy some adapters, so I can connect to my antennas for testing. The 1500 MHz firmware sounds interesting. Must be extremely new. As I use 1.2 GHz, I'm very interested. :)

    See link and discussion below.
But beware that the device is using a maxiumum clock of 300 MHz.
It uses first and second harmonisc to reach up to 900 MHz.
Its accuracy is getting worse all the time!

This is a firmware based on the original Edy555 firmware with some small changes - Upper frequency limit is increased to 1500MHz. Be aware accuracy decreases rapidly above 900MHz - A "scan" console command is added to allow arbitrary sweeps with arbitrary number of points - The stack sizes of the two main threads have been adjusted for increased robustness.(thanks to david mugridge )

The 1500 MHz firmware sounds interesting.

There is now also a 2.1 GHz firmware:
Release 0.1.1 with added scan command and 2.1GHz.zip Report File This is an experimental firmware to explore what happens if you exten nanoVNA with 7/9 overtone mode to reach 2.1GHz. First results are not promising

The sounds not promising part does not sound promising ;)

    Understandable, but still useful.

Hmm, have to wait for approval to join the group.

    Thanks. :)

Sounds like that's pushing the hardware just a bit too far. :)
