I usually use the Renegade Clone shell. I've noticed that every time I log on, the key for replying to a message seems to switch. ie... it'll be "r" one time, I'll log off and log on the next day and it'll be "a", then it'll switch again at next logon. I'm guessing that it's due to _sys_misc SM_RA_EMU but I suppose something is implemented wrong in the shell..?

Maybe. It should OR SM_RA_EMU into _sys_misc. Sounds like it's XORing instead.

Well, in any case, it's acting goofy in the stock version of the Renegade shell...:(

Give it a try on Vert, you'll see what I mean, the reply command alternates between "a" and "r", changing on each login.

Well I'm using the Renegae Clone Shell now and I've logged on and off several times and the commands have remained the same each time (R:reply and A:read-again).

Where (what BBS) are you seeing this behavior?

It was happening right on here (Vert). My command shell had been set to Renegade since I originally made my account (probably almost a year I'd guess).

I just did a little test and set my comand shell to something else, and then set it back to Renegade. And now the R's and A's don't seem to switch anymore when I log off and on. Veeeery odd.

    I swear I'm not nuts :)

Just relax Evan, we don't call anybody nuts here, wacko or luney perhaps,
we are sure you are fine, now please take this little yellow pill, put this straight jacket on and Dr. Rob will be around to see you shortly. You can have the bed next to Mr. Angus. He's not crazy either, don't pay any attention to the drouling sounds and crazed look in his eyes.
