I'm thinking of undertaking a Baja adventure.. I'd like to write a
"Farwest Trivia" clone for Synchronet using Sync's built-in
teleconference.. I just don't know how to go about it.. Can you load
services to run for BBS users like this?.. Is there any way to make
a service intercept a user's typing in the teleconference before sending
the input to the chat module so that the service can check for a right answer?.. Also, is there any way to make sure that all the nodes synch
    up this way?..

Has anyone else here ever even played Farwest trivia on any MBBS systems
and know what I'm talking about?.. :)

Right now, there is no way to insert games or other modules into the multinode chat.

Not really. You'd probably be better off just writing your own multinode chat module and including the game in it.

Also, is there any way to make sure that all the nodes synch
    up this way?..

Not sure what you mean here.

Has anyone else here ever even played Farwest trivia on any MBBS systems

I don't remember, but I've seen how MBBS games/modules could be integrated with their chat system. Right now, Synchronet doesn't have anything like that.

Well, I used to play Farwest a lot back in the day, definitely a great game. Some people I knew played it to the point where they had many questions memorized (surprising considering the staggering number of questions in the database)...

But as for the answers to your other questions, derr, no idea :(
