I noticed when I used the upgrade, a bunch of old strings came up as <null>. I guess the new file is incomplete. What I did... I went down the list in the string editor, and renamed all the <NULL> to <NULL###> Where ### was the number of the string.
This helped me find the actual one that was appearing, and change the text that showed up for it.
