UCD told me that in an E-Mail I had sent to him...... I didn't notice th part in the manual, I only really looked for the parts I needed...

    mistake #1 !!!
you should read through the manual, at least skim it.
it'll save ya a LOT of time in the future...

I actualy looked that command up but alas, it didn't offer much help.....

You get extra points for that answer, M. :)
You can also read the .INC files to make sure one doesn't call another if you're not sure, too.

I am humbled. Such a compliment to little old me regarding BAJA!
2 years I ago - I _never_ could conceive that I would know ANYTHING about it. :-D

ya, but before I tried to do anything with baja I at the very least looked at each section and practicly every command, so somewhere in my sub-conscience there is a complete listing of the commands and proper syntax.
weither or not that will help me...

I have the same problem Ksandre. Of course I used to program in Color Basic on my CoCo, but that has been a few years.
The biggest asset I have found for doing a Baja project, especially from scratch is all the code available. I went thur the Sync CD and grabbed all the .src files I could find. The I started a module. Writing the beggining is generally easy. Getting into disk access and file creation/deletion was where things started to get a bit tricky. The docs are probably great of a c programmer, but not so hot for us rookies. So while writing a mod, when I come to something I do not know how to do, or do not understand the docs on, I look thru the code for mods simular to my project. Everyone has helped my write my mods, including Chuckles. He does not have a very good imagination I am afraid, but he did write a fair amount of simple to simi-hard Baja code. Smeg has some really deep stuff. Even UCD has been a help.
    Hope this helps my dear....

    as per my first post,
I am a DOS based bbs, as in Without Winders, All I can run is 230!

Oh, I see, you need to access a dial bbs for QWK runs. You could always log into any bbs manually via telnet to grab packets. Or, if you happen to have a shell account with your ISP you could use a script and something like Telix for dos to do it for you automatically.

The BAJA documentation (imho) is written just like the built in help file you'd get in a full blown version of any language compiler.. Syntax, similar functions, arguments, examples... I remember something in DM's manifesto about... no more printed manuals lol.. That would be the only thing that could possibly make it easier.

My biggest drawback with baja was remembering NOT to put a semicolon at the end of a line. :)
