Wondering if someone could help me in a quick mod I'd like to make with
    the BBS --

I'd like to make it so that when a new user signs up, the random password that the BBS generates, I'd like that emailed to the user then the system
boots them back to the shuttle menu. If anyone knows how this can be done,
I'd greatly appreciate the help. Thanks.

    Digital Man,

Downloaded the above but it doesn't really help me out -- I want the most important thing and that's the new user questions, i.e. alias, real name, etc. I'm trying to create a baja code to do this but have been busy with other things. Thanks for the help.

The new questions for alias and real name are *built-in* to Synchronet, no module is needed. Logon to any Synchronet BBS as "new" and you'll be prompted for these items (so long as the sysop has "real name" enabled in SCFG->System->New User Values->Question Toggles).

So someone actually took a duck to the Grand Canyon to test this out?

I think it's like that scream in the woods thing,
if a tree falls on a beaver and the beaver screams,
but, there is no one there to hear the beaver screaming,
    does the beaver still scream?

This message has ended, go in peace...

Obviously you have not been watching your Mythbusters:

Episode 8: Escape From Alcatraz, Duck Quack, Stud Finder
In this episode, Jamie and Adam retrace the steps of the infamous
prisoners who escaped from Alcatraz without a trace in 1962. Although
all were presumed drowned, our mythbusters are determined to find out if
it's possible to survive the tides of the San Francisco Bay in a
homemade raft. On a less precarious, but still hilarious note, they'll
attempt to answer the age-old question: Does a duck's quack echo? And
then there's the simply unhinged notion that a stud finder can prove
whether or not human beings have been guinea pigs in mind control
    experiments. Yes, really.

I think Mythbusters actually took this one on.

I don't remember their conclusion, but I'm pretty sure that a quack will echo just like any other sound.

No, but the Myth Busters tested this myth and busted it (it's false - a duck's quack *does* echo).
