I built sbbs on another maching using the CVS method and copied over the configs and baja modules I created. Wwhen I start sbbs as root using 'sbbs unsbbs ugsbbs', I get a repeated "Waiting for BBS thread" message. What causes that?
I'm guessing that's the "Waiting for child threads to bind ports..." logic in sbbscon. Is the terminal server (BBS) thread starting? Is it having trouble binding? You'll need to provide more details.

The bbs (v3.17) thread would not start with a sysop password equal to 4 characters.
