Is QuickBBS still a thing despite its former owner abandoning the bbs world 21 years ago?

The BBS or the storage format? I just fixed some of the code in D'Bridge for a Sysop running Remoteaccess which still uses that format.

The developer of QuickBBS has rewritten it as an opensource product far different from what it used to be.

    Hello, Robert!

Replying to a message of Robert Wolfe to Nick Andre:

    He changed EVERYTHING: https://github.com/bschollnick/QuickBBS

That's because he lost the original source that he bought and decided to rewrite it from scratch.

The original author was Adam Hudson (hence the "Hudson Message Base").

So when you refer to quickbbs you are more likely speaking about Hudson message bases?
