    Hello everybody!

Quick net2bbs question. I've recently switched my DOS BBS back to port 23 using
net2bbs as the telnet front end. What are the optimum settings for keeping the
    script
    kiddiez at bay?

I've had to disable anti hammer and anti scan because when it's enabled it blocks everyone
as the router seems to sometimes send the main network address.

Is there a goodip.txt or anything like that so I can just add my local network as I have
    done on Mystic?

The guy at PC-micro told me it was a bug that he hasn't gotten around yet to fixing.

Good enough. ;) At least I know it's a known bug and not a setting I had wrong! Thanks Nick!

I've switched from using port:2323 on my RemoteAccess board Cosmo's Castle to Port:3143 and the script kiddiez have stopped completely! My pipleline point is
using port:3141 and my Iniq is on port:3142 So the good new is all my net2bbs options are enable and none are getting hammered any more.

Not sure if it will be a logical option for everyone, but I see pros and cons. Pros are all hammering has stopped, cons are that I just needed to updated the port info everywhere. Since my RA only uses the nexus.com ftelnet and the bbsfinder index it was quick and easy to just update the port for those two places.

That's the thing... I'm for the most part just letting net2bbs get hammered. With luck it will soon allow us to have those IP's added to the kill.txt automatically
    like mystic does.

generally speaking, not the skidiots and/or botnets... most of those that i see
that are not skidiots and/or botnets are sites that verify that a BBS is running at the given domain OR they are college IT classes running scans for security and analysis of the network at large...
