    Hi everyone,

If you have some 16-bit Windows programs you like laying around and
don't have any way to run them, check this forum post out:

    http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?t=27770

This is a fully working setup of Windows For Workgroups 3.11 for DOSbox.
I downloaded this quite some time ago and it works quite well. I
installed my registered copy of OLX and fired it up without issues.

Of course, those of us using OS/2, eComStation, and ArcaOS have Win-DOS
(WfW 3.11 under OS/21) natively but this is nice for any other setup
    that can use DOSbox.

    Hope this helps.

    Later,
    Sean

Glad to see someone else uses OLX...I don't think it or SLMR or
    registerable anymore.

You can only run 32-bit and 64-bit apps natively. I can run OLX under 64-bit Windows 10 as I have DOSbox with WfW 3.11 set up.

You can run Win 16-bit app this way too:

"WineVDM - a way to run Win 16-bit apps on 64-bit Windows"

    https://forum.winworldpc.com/discussion/11014/winevdm-a-way-to-run-16-bit- apps-on-64-bit-windows

    https://tinyurl.com/wrnq6vd

As the title says WineVDM allows you to run Win 16-bit apps on 64-bit Windows.

The YT video explains everything quite well.

I think this is a very barebones proof of concept that lets you run old
Windows Minesweeper and Solitaire but not much else.
