Some time ago, we were discussing the total impossibility of uploading files and message reply packets using zmodem when telnetting with a
DOS setup, no Windows involved at all.

What am I missing here? I can count about 5 DOS telnet programs right
off the top of my head that have ZModem Ul/Dl capability.
Nancy...you lost me totally....what's the big deal here?

TE: telnet from DOS.
I'm back... I've tested this now on all sorts of BBS software,
and it works consistently... Wildcat ver 4 and 5, Synchronet,
Mystic, Renegade, and Telegard are the ones that I have access to
at the moment and have tested it on. It works a lot faster than
the kermit I had been using for u/l's, too... :) He's uploaded
his program to Chowdanet BBS already, so it should be available
there.
So what's the name of the file?
So what's the name of the file?
TNPORT01.ZIP (He mentioned the name of the program in his
part of the message, and figured it would be an easy search
for it on the bbs.)

which bbs? chowda?
is it available elsewhere on the internet, yet?
bet this is one that should be hatched into the file distribution networks so that it can get "out there"... get a copy to me or uploaded to my
bbs and it'll be on the web and available immediately ;)

I'll give it a try on your bbs soon. :) I had to go
looking to see if I still had my password recorded for
it...
as I recall I came over once to look around, but probably
only the one time or so... :)
But I found my password, and you are still in my telnet
"dialing" stack, so it's still workable... ;)

we could always ID by info in your user record and set a new password
for you... i have no way of finding out what someone's password is
unless they tell me... they are not stored in the userbase for security reasons ;)

three visits according to the user record ;)

cool... drop me a note when you get by so i'll know you were by ;)
