The part that doesn't work is outgoing mail/netmail. The packets
just sits there in the outgoing folder and Binkd on Linux doesn't
touch them. I force a connection to the node that's supposed to
recieve the package and nothing is sent from my end.
I got hold of Amibinkd version 9.00 and it still crashes after a few hours, on both my Amigas (68020 and 68030). So I caved and brought my
old Binkd up on a Linux box.

Did you give it enough stack before running amibinkd?
My memory might be rusty but I rember having to use 500000 stack on
the binkd
for the amiga.
If your still having trouble, I also have a "fixed" version that was
sent to
me by the auther of Zeus BBS for the amiga.
I'd have to get the old girl (A4000/040, cybergraphics etc...) of the shelf
and see if she'll fire up...

The docs says to give a stack of 50000. I've given it 150000 and now
it seems to work kind of. A few complaints from ixemul.library but it hasn't crashed for 24 hours now.. :)

if binkp will ever support emsi it would be great to see amiga
port of that c code

I did say my memory might be rusty. I would still be running the bbs
on my
amiga, if it wasn't for the bugs in
some of the software.
Amiga - it's an adventure!
It still is.

Turns out, if you give Amibinkd a larger stack than 50000 it crashes within hours. I found out a few other things that actually seems to
be keeping it running properly.
1. Disable disk logging.
2. Minimize on-screen logging.
3. Use a stack of 50000, no more, no less.

With those restrictions you might as well not run it.
