especially on OS/2/EcS/ArcaOS it is common practice, to close all binkd tas to archive the log-files and cleanup the outbound/inbound directorys.
If possible, I would like to have a function like this:
- binkd is running in server mode
- binkd.pid exists
- generate a 0 byte file calling binkd.kil at binkd directory
- all binkd instances going down
- binkd.pid is deleted

My knowledge about daemonized programs with windows and dos/dos32 is very low, but isn't there something like systemd or inetd on windows systems as well, as it is with BSD?- generate a 0 byte file calling binkd.kil at binkd directoryI asked for this feature as well... Crickets chirping.
- all binkd instances going down

This feature was implemented earlier. My binkleyXE tasks going down with the 'flag-file' since 1994.Talk about old, forgotton features... BinkleyTerm had this in 1996,- generate a 0 byte file calling binkd.kil at binkd directory
maybe even earlier!

Seriously?
BinkD is a volunteer project.
Speaking as an open source developer, this kind of whiny bullshit entitleme that the devs somehow owe you something only drives them away, making it le likely your request will ever be responded to.
