From Rick Smith@1:105/85 to All on Tuesday, January 03, 2023 00:29:52
    Greetings All!

I am in the process of moving my bbs from a rpi to a vm, I reinstalled binkd from scratch but copied all cfgs etc as they are to the new setup. I cannot connect to my boss node now. I can connect to other systems just not that one I did not change anything about the setup so this is strange. I just get a connection refused error? Any thoughts about what could have gone wrong?

could it be you have polled them so much they have auto-blocked you?

Thats always possible I suppose, I think it is a firewall issue, I recently moved the hub to docker on proxmox using #Deon's fidohub setup and I am now thinking that maybe you cannot host fido stuff on proxmox. I have tried it with and #without using proxmox's built in firewall and I do get closer with the firewall on in proxmox but it hangs up binkd. # #with proxmox firewall on I do not get the conection refused but instead it just hangs with the following #bp 1:105/81 #1:105/81 #. # 09:31 [3611] BEGIN, binkd/1.1a-112/Linux -p -P 1:105/81 /home/pi/fido/etc/binkd.cfg # 09:31 [3611] creating a poll for 1:105/81@fidonet (`d' flavour) 09:31 [3611] clientmgr started $ -d 1:105/81@fidonet + 09:31 [3612] call to 1:105/81@fidonet 09:31 [3612] trying 192.168.6.81 [192.168.6.81]:24556...
