    Hi All,

Since updating the system Binkley seems to be missing mail events. I run EleBBS and am usin Binkley v2.50. Node 1 is the dialup/mailer node and uses EleBBS/DOS and it handles the mail via ftp scripts and the other nodes are telnet nodes and are run with EleBBS/W32's Telsrv.

The ftp scripts, when executed, work very well. However, once in a while (about 50% of the time), the event doesn't run.

    Thanks in advance....

    Hi Howard,

Since updating the system Binkley seems to be missing
mail events. I run EleBBS and am usin Binkley v2.50.

One thing you have to watch with the Binkley Event fie, is that if you update it while Bink is active, then Bink may have trouble sorting out changes in the event schedule. If I ever need to change the Event file, I exit Binkley, make the changes, then restart Binkley so that the timestamping on ALL the relevant Binkley files are in the correct sequence and when Binkley re-starts it recognises the changes and re-builds the .SCD (Schedule) and .DAY (daily events) files from scratch.

Mind you, since I started using CRON to schedule background tasks I haven't had
a need to change the Binkely .EVT file in 3+ years now.....;-)

    Cheers.............pk.

Perhaps thtat was/is the problem. Binkley did two of the main events properly

today. I'll keep tabs on it.
