I remember reading something about a FOSSIL that'll work with ADSL,
but I can't remember the name of it. Anybody have any ideas what a
decent one is?

Winfos came to mind first off.

What operating system?

Win32 based? I believe there are two.

OS/2 basaed? Technically not a fossil, but if one picks up Ray Gwyn's SIO package, the VMODEM componet of that package will allow you to connect modem based software to a IP port....

I have OS/2, but have had about as much time to install
it as I have Linux. :)

For Linux, are you planning to run Binkley (XE?) native? If so, no fossil required. If under DOS EMU, then I believe it is the normal set of fossils for
DOS systems.... But I haven't played these games as of the moment.

I could make a comment about things working with Windows, but I'll leave well enough alone. :) I remember seeing both versions of WinFos. I'll grab the NT flavour and see what happens.

I was thinking of doing it natively, yes. Why do emulation unless there's no other way? Eventually I plan on migrating to Linux, leaving Windows there as a backup.

ADF works wonderfully and is free.

No problem. I used it for telnet and it works just fine with COM/IP... I would
not use COM/IP's internal FOSSIL driver-it's horrible.

Confirmed that COM/IP's internal FOSSIL is somewhat 'fossilized', grin!
