• Greetings...

From Chicken Head to All on Friday, January 18, 2019 16:39:45
Just wanted to send out greetings as an ancient Commodore user.

I currenty jockey between VICE running x128 and Novaterm (really good) and FS-UAE running NComm.

I managed to get the old SuperPET roms running under VICE with the old Waterloo Microsystems software...

I wish I could get an old PET terminal program to function at speeds over 300 baud!

I have problems with the keyboard on the normal PET emulated by VICE
already. None of the keys work. Works with MAME though.

I know what you mean, and I haven't figured that one out. It has something to do with the symbolic key mapping. It seems to default to "positional" even though it's set to symbolic, which means the keyboard pretends it's a real PET keyboard.

It seems to be platform specific to make things worse...I have built Vice on Linux and FreeBSD and had a different result each time.

At the very least the C64/128 emulator seems to get the keymap right.

I need to give the MAME/MESS version a try however.
