If successful, Theoretically I would have 6 connections to this
Echo/Group, not including any BBSes I might log on to testing out Telnet clients.

Unfortunately, perhaps, my knack for finding issues, which has worked
for me in past careers, is working against me.

rbb.fidonet.fi is an OS2 system, which doesn't support IPv6, which, if I understand correctly, HotdogEd requires, so my connection attempts fail, causing Tommi's system a crash report. Another Android NNTP reader,
which I sent the original message out through, has yet to show any
    inbound messages.

Another connection, the Veleno BBS's Web Point system, isn't really Phone/Tablet friendly, but I've managed to access it. But although I
have managed to successfully send out a couple of netmails, nothing I've
sent to echos has arrived, nor have any messages arrived from those
    echoes.

My Z4 point, I gave myself a problem with. HotdogEd has a known bug
which can hang some packets in memory somewhere, and keep tossing those messages out. While going through the suggested steps to clear it,
without rooting my phone, I accidentally managed to unlink from most
    echos without realizing.

Why would I do this? I'm a certifiable lunatic. :)

Actually, I like testing things, seeing what's available. If I could
find a good Telnet app for Android with Y or Z modem capability and an
OLMR for Android, I'd try that as well.

Some of you have seen my talking about my crazy idea of being able to
actually set up a BBS on an Android device.

Then, during a bout of insomnia last night, I'm scrolling through the
App store looking for NNTP apps, and the search has some RSS and Forum
readers in it. So a vague idea I had years ago came back to me. Why
couldn't a Web Forum work as an FTN style network node? So, I start web searching forum software, and I see that, theoretically it could be
done. At least one of the forum programs that I looked at had the
capability to connect with Usenet and email lists. So, if that is
possible, and FTN networks can be gated to both Usenet and email lists,
    it should work.

I also talked with Stas a bit about how his Telegram Fido bot worked and
got the link from him to study that.

Did I mention I'm running in 2 hours of sleep in 3 days?

Jamnntpd is running at rbb.fidonet.fi under OS/2, true. It does not support IPv6.

Hotdoged works just fine with IPv4-only nntp servers. But I have noticed that for some reason my Jamnntpd/OS2 crashes in certain situations when accessing it with Hotdoged. I haven't got time to investigate why it happens. Anyway, the server restarts after a shorts period after the crash.

I had a similar problem with another connection.
So I guess it's more like HotdogEd doesn't like IPv4.
Not a big deal, just one of those quirks.

I use hotdoged with IPv4 and it works as expected. I have found that hotdoged works with mailers that have a CRAM-MD5 handshake but not with mailers that don't support it, like BBBS.

I'm not certain of that, that's just what appeared to be happening.

    It's possible. I'm not sure.
