I like that one! It would work well in a book shop to inspire selfies. Put a little kid on that reading a book.. = advertising gold.

Like I said, I love it. But the destruction of books by anything other than reading them until they fall apart hurts my heart.

Further to that.. if it were my choice, I'd add a clear vinyl/plastic sheet wrap over the books especially over the ones on the seat.

Either that, or a nice clear polyurethane coat. Not too thick, but enough to protect it.

There are plenty of books I've come across that have page stains/damage ..and are not resalable - let alone undesirable to read due to the suspect damage (mold/mildew/water,coffee stains ..etc). Maybe the ones on that project were the best that could be salvaged. Maybe no "good" books were harmed. I have books that look like crap with their dust-jackets, but beneath the wrap, the spines (and even some of the covers) are little works of art - and the pages of the book could be damaged.

Interesting. The --subj:<text>--<CR> trick does not work too well
when replying to a TgM message when there is a photo involved.

If the books were built-in unremovable, then that would work best.

If it was my project, I'd build it modular so that the back panel
and the seat could be replaced with different books.

I suppose that is true. I'm looking more as a reader, not a seller or collector.

In truth making the back and seat modular is easy enough even with a poly coat. You can make several panels that fit, and swap them out as needed. The same as if you were doing standard cushion seats.

You'd be surprised just how many book-lovers would love projects
like that. I've seen old books transformed into floating book
"shelves", lamp-shades, and door arches, trim around windows and
doors, etc.. Book-themed furniture can be whimsical and fun even
    for the serious book lover.

You're right.. a poly coat is probably better in the long run
anyway. A vinyl/plastic sheet could stretch or rip if the chair was
used as an actual chair and not just for decoration.

I've seen armchairs repurposed for book storage around the leg
areas. Not sure how practical that would be for an adult when you
need to reach for another book, but for kids that could be a fun way
    to appreciate a collection.

I noticed. Also when sharing a link from another program, it split my comment and the link onto separate messages. Makes the thread kind of messy on the Fido side.

I thought you did that on purpose because that behaviour didn't happen before when a photo w/link was included. Maybe there are slightly different versions of the bot for different echos?
