    Hello Y'all...

What kind of electric kWh usage do some of you have in your
    households?

    For me:

    Feb 2020 = 3155 kWh
    Jan 2021 = 2630 kWh
    Feb 2021 = 3445 kWh

That includes my electric heat usage which is with wall-attached
    baseboard heating.

    Usage/Generated (I have solar pannels)

    Jan 2021 = 210/17 kWh
    Feb 2021 = 171/70 kWh

    Yearly:

2019 57 kWh (Net, so usage-Generated, this was the year the solar pannels were installed)
    2018 2081 kWh
    2017 2469 kWh

(I don't have the figures for 2020 yet...)

That includes my electric heat usage which is with wall-attached
    baseboard heating.

I don't have electrical heating. Heating is done with gas.

    Bye, Wilfred.

Wow.. that's for the WHOLE year, really? I'm jealous.

Or.. is that the NET that includes the feed that your panels
    generated?

what are you using to heat hot water?

My figures include everything via electricity.

Nope. I didn't had the solar panels until 2019.

what are you using to heat hot water?

    Gas.

And what I pay for gas is about 1.5 times what I pay for electricity (before I got the panels)...

My figures include everything via electricity.

    Must be expensive!

    Bye, Wilfred.

    Comparatively, it would seem so!

Based on the electric + oil/gas costs that other people are
spending per year for heating alone, I am doing far better
though. My electric costs include heat + everything else.

Albiet.. I probably make more compromises than most people: I
close off rooms, I rarely allow indoor temps to rise above 19C,
I reduce heat during the night, and I'll tolerate 17C before I
go to car to warm myself up. :/

But ofcourse.. I have the added electric + gas/heating costs to
    operate the shop. :(

    That's the business, so separate...

Btw: We had sleet and hail here today. Which doesn't happen very often in april...

Separate, but the cost comes out of the same wallet! <LOL>

Btw: We had sleet and hail here today. Which doesn't

I think it was Jul 7, 2000 ..when we had a deluge of hail for
over 20 minutes in my town.

I had just purchased my new Rav4 the year prior. I was still in
town whilst on my way home when the these friggin balls of ice
were smashing my well-maintained and polished vehicle. I tried
to seek shelter first near a tree with a bit of a canopy. Then
I wasn't too far from a self-serve car wash, so I duck into one
    of the bays there.

The vehicle clearly had dimples all over the hood and roof. But
they disappeared gradually after a few months.
