    the canadian fed gov't is using some weird language to define "single-use" plastic. garbage bags and doggie-poo bags are ok, but durable grocery bags that can then be used for garbage, are not.

    showing up on "the shores". I suppose, since is a Canadian
    ruling, they mean the shores of the Great Lakes.

    Or the oceans. That is where a lot of the plastic waste washes up on the US/Mexican West Coast, and where the "plastic waste islands" are.

    Generally speaking, those types of governments like to make priorities out
    of the low-hanging fruit that they can control while letting other things (especially ones that might hurt someone's feelings) go.
