    Google wants to track you

p2p news / p2pnet: Did you ever doubt that Google wants into your
life from AM to PM, getting its hand into your pocket in the process?

"Wouldn't it be great to be able to keep track of all the events in
your life, coordinate schedules with friends and family, and find new
things to do - all with one online calendar?" - it gushes on the web
site for its latest 'service,' a calendar.

"With Google Calendar, you can see your friends' and family's
schedules right next to your own; quickly add events mentioned
    in Gmail conversations or saved in other calendar applications;
and add other interesting events that you find online."

So now you've told the world what you're up to, and when and where,
"What about privacy? Will Google share my information?"

No worries. Not with anyone ------- except, "under the limited
    circumstances required by law".

    Oh. OK, then.

Meanwhile, "Microsoft and Yahoo will both be looking on with a keen
eye as to how the take up of the new service goes," says Pocket-Lint,
"Yahoo for the effects of its own calendar service and Microsoft
because of the business implications against its Outlook calendar
    package."
