Put your bible aside and try reading a news paper once in a while.

    Get a clue.

Again you demonstrate how little you know anything about me. FYI, I read local news on a daily basis, as well as US and International news. I may not be
super smart, but I do try to keep abreast of what is happening in the world.

Get a clue? Oh, I got your clue already. You are just one of those grumpy old men that FidoNet is now famous for. :)

    Have a nice day.

As for the rest of your post.....I do not respond to it. I'm hoping you can find it in your heart to ignore me just as much as you ignore HolySmoke.

I don't have much respect for people like you. If you are in fido for very long.....you and I aren't going to get along. But...keep in mind that we are governed by the United States Constitution,,,,,,not the bible of `any' religious leaning!

So be it. I have added your name to my ignore list, as per your request...just don't tempt me by disparaging the Christian faith. :)

I have never disparaged the Christian faith. On the contrary, I would choose
to stand on the side of those of faith before I would take any part with the likes of some of the people who inhabit (`pollute' would be a more accurate word) Fido. At least with Christians you are going to get the truth.

On the other hand.....where I have no problem with people holding to a religion, people much like `you' I tend to hold at arms length. I do not feel comfortable around those who are spouting their religious beliefs at every turn. They sometimes turn out to be other (usually on the `down' side) than what they portray themselves to be.

People are welcome to hold to any religion they choose as far as I'm
concerned, and I do not deny them the right to do so. I do not belittle anyone for what they believe in the way of religion.

My problem is with those who's religion includes hijacking planes and
murdering passengers, hijacking cruise ships and murdering old people in wheelchairs, or flying jumbo jets into sky scrapers, killing thousands of innocents.

I have an even bigger problem with those who, supposedly American, seem to
take the part of the terrorists, the religious fanatics, murderers all, just
to score political points against a president they didn't like.

To me, those people are little better than the murdering religion-freaks they defend!

As for me being on your `ignore list'......that sounds like a `twit filter' situation to me.

And....the `twit filter' rules apply. From the way things seem to be going in Fido with you.....I'll have plenty of company soon.

Oh and, by the way......I notice that over in Klahn's echo you are parroting much of the GW Bush-hatred typical of the owner of that echo and his
    `friends'.

I knew I had you pegged right; yet another insignificant idiot, much like Klahn, Ceppa, Sauer, et al.

Don't be surprised that, after laying with the `pigs' of Fido long enough, you end up with pig shit all over yourself.

Tim, let me just clarify what I meant by the above. I have seen this phrase "twit filter" used in a number of echoes now. I honestly don't know for sure what it is, but I am assuming that it is some kind of software that Windows FidoNet users use to filter out messages from certain people, so that they don't have see them or read them.

I work on a Macintosh computer. I do not use any such software. When I used
the phrase "ignore list", I simply meant that I will add your name to the
small list of people with whom I will not communicate here in FidoNet...and again, this is at your request, not mine.

I have no idea what "twit filter rules" are either.

Oh and, by the way......I notice that over in Klahn's echo you are parroting much of the GW Bush-hatred typical of the owner of that echo and his `friends'.

I knew I had you pegged right; yet another insignificant idiot, much like Klahn, Ceppa, Sauer, et al.

Excuse me, but I parrot nobody. I am my own man, do my own research, and form my own opinions, as I have done for many years. I don't need someone else to tell me how to think or how to believe, or what party or individual to
support. If we follow your argument through to the end, then anytime two or more people happen to share the same views, they are all just parroting each other. Sounds kind of ridiculous to me.

If you knew me better, had read more of my posts, and particuarly, read some
of my articles, such as "Obama, McCain And The Bush Legacy", you would know that, as with all politicians, I hold a mixed opinion regarding George W.
Bush. On one hand, he supported some things with which I could agree, such as his position on embryonic stem cell research, abortion and gay and lesbian rights. Sadly, in my view, his scale tipped way over to the other side due to propensity for war-mongering, his snobbish, belligerent, unilateralist attitude, and the fact that he was totally beholden to the powerful and the elite, and did very little to alleviate the situation for the little man at
    the bottom.

Don't assume that just because I hold these things against Bush that I have a better view of Barack Obama, because I most certainly don't. Obama is a
liberal with some extremely liberal tendencies which I can't begin to stomach.

The fact that you have resorted to petty name-calling really makes me wonder who now has the higher moral ground. I may not agree with someone, but I certainly won't resort to calling them an "insignificant idiot". Before you accuse me of wallowing in the pig slop, please take a hard look at yourself.

I know absolutely nothing about Sauer, and don't care to. I know very little about Bob Klahn, other than the fact that we share a few views, and that he
may possibly be a Roman Catholic. As to Dan Ceppa, I assure you that he is
most definitely not my friend or associate in any way. Quite to the contrary, he and others made my life miserable over a dozen years ago.

I hold no hostility towards you Tim. I am not that kind of a person.
