• D'Bridge Rescan

From Pequito@1:317/2 to All on Monday, July 10, 2017 21:49:51
    Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to do a rescan on a d'bridge system as the areafix was not very helpful with the system I am connecting to.

I notice can do either %RESCAN or -R on subject line, is there a way to do a count with that?

    Thanks! Christopher Malo

The method is correct. At this time, counting is not supported.

The Areafix system in D'Bridge is not as elaborate as in other tossers.

Its really up to the D'Bridge system in question as to whether Rescans are supported or not. This can be an option toggle, an Echomail security policy or the system may not have its message databases/files set in a way to allow it.

If you feel absolutely sure the system in question should be sending rescans, or it has done so in the past, let me know.

Thank you for the reply Nick, I had been working weatherman on this one and wwivnet which he uses D'Bridge and doing a hell of a lot of reading. :)

So I thought maybe it was the areafix after reading a while so he re-checked his system and made some adjustments to the echos and areafix. I attempted
to rescan again with no luck. Seems I get a generic message back from the system saying I am connected to xyz echos and shows them.

I am hopeful this would be worked out, he will be in touch with you about
    this very issue. :)

    Cheers!

Didn't want to go off topic here and talk about rescans.. :)

The system in question is my D'Bridge hub. I have been trying to trouble shoot
this but have run out of ideas. Rescan used to work, but I did notice one thing that didn't seem right.

Under echomail areas, the rescan option was always (default) set to "0". That is supposed to mean unlimited messages allowed in the rescan. When you set it to "0" now, it says "None" like it is disabled.

I originally thought that was the problem, so I edited all echos (using Notepad++) to Rescan: 9998 (the highest number allowed). Apparently that didn't get it processing, either.

Any tips appreciated. It could be that I just need to troubleshoot this after having a few Budweisers.

    Thanks.

Was there any response to this, as I can not seem to get a re-scan from this system still even today. No response comes back other than you are already subbed to this echogroup etc.

    Thanks!
