    Hello everybody!

Can someone provide the modem setting in DB when using Netserial?

Can someone provide the modem setting in DB when using Netserial?

Whatever the COM port is configured as and the "Other 56k modem" template.

Does the modem respond to any commands in the terminal?

    Hi Richard,

    I run NetSerial & D'Bridge, but I don't have D'Bridge listen/pass to a BBS (it runs intependently in it's own DOS session).

    From PCMicro's website regarding NetSerial & D'Bridge:

The suggested BBS Init string for NetSerial is AT&D2
This forces the virtual modem to disconnect when the BBS software
lowers the DTR line on the virtual COM port.

    Hope that helps!
    Take care
    Aaron

    Hi Aaron,

Slightly off the topic you were replying to, but if you are not passing to a BBS, may I ask why you are using Netserial with D'Bridge? Maybe I'm doing it wrong :-)

I run mail only here and only use the BinkD function so no need for Netserial or Net2BBS, etc, so wondering what your use case is?

    Thanks
    Dean

    Hi Dean,

Sorry, I originally ran DB with it passing callers through to the BBS, but have since changed to running DB in it's own DOS session and Net2BBS in another (spawning the nodes in subsequent DOS sessions as caller connections
    pour in). :)
