i won't mention that LS_ARRL.RUL didn't come from this system with that date on
it... it's last revision, as stored on this system, was back in 2013... the one
for TUB is also really bad as it is 2k in size over here... this is also one reason why the MOD UPDs for these areas have had a empty RUL line in them for the last decade+... with the old system, they would have been flushed after some period of time of not being updated by a MOD RUL...

My current efforts are to allow .RUL files where needed. I haven't thought out the whole process yet. All I know is with the old Echobase 3.48 the Mod Rul submissions VERY often crashed EB and corrupted the Database beyond repair, so I dropped the little used Rule sub-system from EList v4 entirely at first.

I figured a simpler option for this would suffice, but the new RULE keyword is instead being used to store file names or "None", so I migrated the old Rule files over and added a status check on the report for now.

Where it goes from here is entirely up to the users of the Echolist. Let me know what you'd like to see and I'll come up with something. I'll also have to read up on Mod Rul to see what it did before, besides corrupting the database so often! lol :)

LOL, I don't recall ever saying that {shrug} per se, BUT the new EList v4 software is being written by a member of FIDONet with feedback from other FIDONet members, so I am terming it the FIDONet Echolist. There are NO private nets in the current echolist though they are more than welcome to participate. FIDONet, to me, encompasses ALL FTN type networks, which includes private nets.

Relax dude, nobody is being excluded that I can see.
