Hello,

I am currently in the process of rebuilding my old BBS and downloaded
the FD SW from the official website. However, when I try to run the FDNC,
I get the following error:

"Runtime error 200 at 179A:1344."

Any ideas?

I used to get "200" errors when I tried to run older software
on a newer machine. I.E. too fast and/or too much memory that the
software didn't support.

You may need to use tppatch.exe to Patch the fd executable
you can search the internet for the turbo pascal patch it should
correct this issue

That might be the case... Funny thing is that FDSETUP runs OK, but FDNC
and FD.EXE do not...

i know there was some work done in this area and there was also a
complete rewrite at one point but i'm unable to locate the information
i'm recalling about this problem...

the closest thing i can come to is running a "slowdown" program before
you fire up FD and any of its utilities... you should be able to do this
in the .BAT file... the question is locating a util to do this for you
that will work on your machine :?

Did some research on the internet and it seems that there is a file,
called tppatch.exe, that is supposed to fix these kind of speed-related
issues. I'll give it a try! (backing up first, sure!)

I've had one work when the other would not. Also, if you get an error, make sure you unpack any packed executables before patching!
