This might not be the correct echo for this but I am looking for a program or utility that will convert QWK to REP packets and vice versa. I have an older program called QWK2REP but it's coded in TP probably and it doesn't want to
be patched. Any ideas, let me know please.

I used to use the utility to convert packets so I could pull DoveNet into my Virtual Advanced BBS. Worked great too :)

Ahh I see, it would be very deficult to do with maximus for me. Maximus has no commandline QWK tosser.

This is the right echo. <G>

Have you run UNP against the program first then tried to patch it? A lot of Pascal EXEs were compressed... I've had to do that a lot with older doors and stuff on my system.

What you might want to do is create a shadow (sorry, OS/2 speak)...er, a shortcut to COMMAND.COM and tell XP that it's Win95 compatible... maybe that will work. I honestly haven't worked much with XP in that regard, so I'm not completely sure.

Hm A right click on the exe in explorer will let you pick properties
(edit the "pif" file) where there is a compatability section.
Maybe telling XP to treat it as a win95 or win98 program there will
help?

That's what I'm thinking. I've heard that doing so (letting XP emulate ealier versions of Windows) helps with DOS problems.
