    Gord,

I'd be interested in a registration key for InspectA. I appreciate your donating the time to the community.

    The one I use is

    PSRT_14.RAR 279335 12-05-96
PacketSorter v1.4 bug fixes & new features
    FidoNet inbound packet processor defragments
packets, speeds up tossing on SQUISH and JAM
    - split large messages according to FSC-0047
    - sort messages by subject and/or time
    - remove garbage from 'bad' packets
    - split large packets to a more handy size
    - unsplit large messages back to orign. size
    - fast & highly configurable
    - works with any echomail tosser
    - runs with both OS/2 and DOS in 32 bit mode
    - quick installation for Squish & CrossPoint
    - quick installation for FastEcho & IMail

The snag is that it's $15 shareware, and author Rolf Wilms disappeared
    years ago.

    Regards,

    Robert.

No, no ... not at the Message Base level, I need something to fix raw packets (.pkt) BEFORE they get tossed. FWIW, I use WildCat! & GoldEd ...

I can do the fixing under native DOS -or- Linux, so I need software for one or the other, or both <g>.

For message splitting? I might have something in the filebase. C'mon over to the board and look in the BBSUTILS and the MAXIMUS sections.

Not being lazy, just extremely busy. I was given an old Pioneer 6 CD changer (SCSI!) that I'm gonna put into the board. I'm too damn lazy to go through all
of those CDs and put all of them in proper order on the hard drive.

It works well, but there's a weird "nag beep" as was mentioned between 2000-2059 every evening. It's the weirdest thing. <G> I used to used it in my

That's a shame, though I suppose to be expected with InspectA being a DOS program designed for Fidonet, and both DOS and Fido very much in their twilight era.

knew he was working on parts of the FreeBSD kernel. Ron Lyth, who ran

Presumably anyone sufficiently determined could track him down and arrange
a key, especially if they wanted to pay for it. I tracked down Graham
Stair (PATHS) a few years back through the good offices of (a) someone in
Oz who knew he worked for 3M, and (b) the people at 3M who forwarded my
