    Hello All!

So when my hub adds a new area and my system autoadds it to my configuration I get a error message that my feed is subscribed more than once.

I may be using the echoareadefaults wrong? This is at the top of my areas_fidonet file

    EchoAreaDefaults -a 1:105/81 -b jam -p 3650 -dupecheck move -dupehistory 14 -g F 1:229/426

1:229/426 is my feed, however a new area added this morning attached that address to the end of the new area that you see below? Am I misreading how to use this feature?

    EchoArea NODES.024 /fido/msgbase/fido/nodes.024 -g F -d "" 1:229/426

    Regards,

    Rick

... I'm afraid I put too much BS into BBSing

I don't think you need your uplink's address in the "EchoAreaDefaults" line. In this case, with those two lines the way they are, you're actually specifying your uplink's address twice for the "EchoArea" line, which you don't need to do.

I'm guessing you have some sort of config option for auto-adding areas, and specify that address there so that it is added to the "EchoArea" lines when a new area is added. That should be all that is needed.

    Regards,
    Nick

... Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.
