• rmLinkMail.pl & rmLink.pl

From Jay Harris@1:229/664 to All on Friday, October 25, 2024 07:17:56
    Hi All,

I recently deleted a test node that I have been working with, using rmLink.pl to remove its config & mail:

618:400/99 was unsubscribed from all echos
618:400/99 was not subscribed to any fileechos
    Deleting flow files from outbound
    /home/ubuntu/fido/outbound.26a/01900063.hlo deleted
    1 files were deleted
    Deleting orphan files from PassFileAreaDir
    0 orphan files were deleted
Link 618:400/99 Test Node was deleted

This link had been configured with "packer none" as most of my links are.

rmLink.pl deleted the .hlo file but left all of the individual .pkt files orphaned in the outbound directory.

As a test I added the link back, this time with "packer zip" and re-scanned some messages and tried again:

618:400/99 was unsubscribed from all echos
618:400/99 was not subscribed to any fileechos
Deleting echomail and tics from outbound /home/ubuntu/fido/outbound.26a/03a26d95.fr0 deleted
    1 files were deleted
    Deleting flow files from outbound
    /home/ubuntu/fido/outbound.26a/01900063.hlo deleted
    1 files were deleted
    Deleting orphan files from PassFileAreaDir
    0 orphan files were deleted
Link 618:400/99 Test Node was deleted

It looks like both rmLink.pl & rmLinkMail.pl will only delete echomail bundles.

Is there a way to configure these to also delete unbundled mail?

    e.g:
    [01900063.hlo]
    ^/home/ubuntu/fido/outbound.26a/671b85a5.pkt ^/home/ubuntu/fido/outbound.26a/671b85ad.pkt ^/home/ubuntu/fido/outbound.26a/671b85ae.pkt ^/home/ubuntu/fido/outbound.26a/671b85af.pkt ^/home/ubuntu/fido/outbound.26a/671b85b0.pkt ^/home/ubuntu/fido/outbound.26a/671b85b4.pkt ^/home/ubuntu/fido/outbound.26a/671b85b5.pkt
    [/01900063.hlo]

Just taking a quick look at the scripts you're referring to, I don't see anything regarding deleting bundles, either, let alone packets.

It looks like one may have to take a look at the Husky::Rmfiles module. :(
