I've written a couple of these in perl for my system, and can pretty easily pull something together for you (and anyone else interested). Can you send me a note letting me know what sort of features you're looking for, and I'll see what I can do.

The feature I am looking for is a function and file there use a header.txt and footer.txt file when runs and reading the files.bbs in linux and then make a index.html file by read and convert the files.bbs file to a index.html for directories of files.
The header.txt could use to have this information as:
System name (The KofoBBS - http://www.kofobbs.dk
name of files areas (Index of general files)
maybe some choice of Next Previous
    ---
From the files.bbs reading and convert:
    filename size date description
(of all files form shown in files.bbs)
put the link to download the files
    -----
    footer.txt :
    some last informations
and perhaps a count of totally of files + total of files sizes.
    -----

or maybe the files2html could run and read some other file for info on what it have to read to files.bbs and put the index.html - done by some script file the have several lines in it or the perl file been told to use some cfg file to know what to do like which directy by paths to work on and what to use head line for the index.html file and self put in the directory name and some colors fiel index.html file.
