When I recieve files from the INFOPACK area they get tossed to the bad area if the file already exists here (that happens a lot).
Would it be possible for you to add a "Replaces FILENAME.ZIP" line in the tic file you create when sending out files that have been sent previously?

I am still getting tic files here that don't have a replaces line in them so they toss to my bad area. I have to add the "Relaces filename.zip" to those tics and retoss them.
If you could add the replaces keyword to tics you send out I would appreciate that so I don't have to retoss all the time. You can do that with a command line option.
I know that some software doesn't need it. But my tosser will not replace an existing file without that keyword in the tic.

should be set in allfix

Files in the INFOPACK area that already exist, like agoranet.zip.
should be set in allfix
It needs to be done at hatch time. I don't know allfix well but I think it's an optional option on your hatch command line.
if it is that area (sound like it), you might check with janis k., if
she is who your getting fdn from, to see it it is her system, not
putting in the replace
unless you want to go direct on my fdn's areas?

We could do that too, and I don't mind doing that.
But I think we'd be in the same situation.

Thanks Robert. I appreciate your taking the time to look into this.. :)

aren't you hatching the files to her and others for redistribution? if so,
shouldn't your system already be using the REPLACE verb? her system should jus
copy it over as normal... the initial hatch is where the REPLACE should
originate because from there, everything is just copied from one TIC to anothe >adding the path and seenby lines and changing the few others that need changin
for each connected system...
needs to put in the original REPLACE verb... it is /the/ signal that the new file being processed should replace the old one(s) named...

If a file comes in with a 'replaces' keyword, my system does indeed include it automatically. It happens automatically.

I just found it, last night (you might have notice it, took two trys to get right, first time didn't go out, second time it did).
