  • New file echo on the way

    Hello all,

    This weekend, we'll be starting the new FidoGazette file echo, please note the 8 char tag name :)

    We'll also add an area so that downlinks to Star systems can upload articles to
    HQ. I'll explain how that works below :) *

    Also note that the companion message echo uses the tag FIDOGAZETTE.

    * FG2HQ: This file echo is called a "Backchannel" area. Backchannel areas work best if you are connected to a major FidoNet Star, FileGate HUB, or File mover. You hatch a file in the FG2HQ file echo, and your UPLINK will deliver the file to _the next_ UPLINK in the chain until it reaches the FidoGazette HQ.
    NOTE: Normal systems are not required to transfer these type files
    upstream so your best bet is to email or netmail your Article if you are not connected to Major Stars like 1:261/38, 123/500, 140/3, 106/1 or any Filegate HUB listed in Filegate.zxx.
