Yes, and the misig conenctions could be by some error between the countries or a bad line there now is fixed.
I is ow working on the the new homepage and site for zone 900 rmininet.

    :(

It is not in US the communication industries and Isp's want to make money out of it it is sure worldlike.
If you like to have a really fast Internet line in Denmark is the main company for Tele and date communication saying "High prices and money money, pay for it
in the high prices", but France and German + Sweedish Tele/Data companies coming in and have lines and offer sheep prices and other Data companies and business in Denmark have come with low prices for hugh speed, and the sweedish people can now get a speed of 5 to 10 times faster than the normal speed to low
prices and if the danish main tele TDC shall have one price for example 4mbit is the price in Sweden the half so for about 8-10Mbit is the same as 4Mbit in Denmark.
So now is the other Danish tele/date companies in denmark tring to press the prices down for Interent ad adsl, so TDC have to make some offer to give adsl and new setup for it in low price and coming with offer in some months, and it is then of what line you like to get, a normal private line or af business line.

Yup!! The amazingly short-lived-ISDN-US. You can still get it, but it's metered, will cost you an arm and a leg <g>.. matter of fact, you'd probably have to give your first-born to the telephone company <g>

in danmark there is nearly no users that uses internet over it anylonger, tdc major isp got adsl to 90% of all stupid danes that wanted to pay more for adsl then what the cost of one day with isdn cost to the internet :)

now tdc continues with adsl2 so we can get new stupid hardware again, one wonders what comes after this ?

dont know why there just was 56Kbit in us, in rest of the world it have always being 64bit pr channel, even a plain a1000 (amiga with 68000 at 7.14 Mhz) could
handle it better then any at that time pc crap :-)

the US had both... it just depended on who your teleco was... they way they got

were encoding everything in 7 bits which was redusing the max connect rate... that 8th bit? well, with 7 calls going, those 7 8th bits from each gave the telco another call path that was 7 bits wide and they got it for free...
