Can you make this area active again with myself as co-ord as I seem to be the only one making changes to the codebase.

There is code for version 3.2.9a in the repository, but to my knowledge that
has not been made into an archive for distribution...

It is the same as mn329src just in tar.gz there is zipped to a zip
file as the file_id.diz should tell.

If it is the same content, why did you hatch it out? The
makenl-3.2.9.tar.gz archive has the same content as the the
mn329src.zip archive; it's just a tar.gz archive instead of a zip
archive. I made it
available as a convenience for those who get the archive directly from
the project site; those who would like to get the source from the
fileecho distribution can just use the mn329src.zip archive which is
usable by everyone.

I plan to create an archive for that & will put it up on the MakeNL site.
I propose that the v3.2.9a archive, when available, be hatched out as a
replacement for that mn329lsrc.zip archive (it contains the same content as th
mn329src.zip archive that was distributed already).

Yes, that was another problem with the file, that it's not using an 8.3 filename...

Do you mean you were just checking to see if you were connected to the
Coordutl area? You can just send bbbs a query for that:
To: Areafix
Subj: PASSWORD -q
You don't even have to put anything in the body <g>
But you know this, so that must not be what you mean to say above?
Can you explain a little more?

/etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 8.8.8.8
search junc.org
dig junc.org mx
dig +norecurse @8.8.8.8 junc.org mx
2.0.0.0/8 is still blackholed in 50% dns servers from time where all used bind
v4 :(
the nameserver line can be from one to 100 if needed, and if more then one remember to enable round robin mode
no dns no fun, sorry using this area as a note flap, hehe
what i say is if i am the only one that find hostnames does not work, use
google or other dns server NOT just isps damm overloaded dns server where such
domain name as piratebay is dns blackholed, this is just another example on i could as well live in china without notice any thing :)
it's been ages since I looked at that file <bg>
Hmm... a what? :) :)
Think my isp's nameserver is ok..

That's now available as mnl329a.zip in the v3.2.9 downloads section. [1] Note that the third character there is an "L", and the archive does contain
a brief description contained in a fileid.diz file.

Janis, did you have a chance to take care of that? Don't think I've seen
it come through...

Argh.. no doubt a victim of the flu that Ron and I had shortly after your post :( I'll pick it up now and get it hatched right after dinner :)
Thanks for the heads-up Jame :) Good timing as well, Ward ran into some problems with the old DOS version and may be ready to give MakeNL_NG a try.
