  • Laby* files in LNX4GAMES

    Hello Gert,

    There is a problem with the the lost labyrinth files you released in Lnx4games:

    This is a copyrighted game, even though it would seem to be GPL.. it looks like
    someone hacked the code from a commercial game to be honest. Rather than take the chance, I really want you to just remove it. We don't need the crap from someone about "copyright" on filegate files on our systems, OK?

    Make SURE you get rid of all the files you hatched with REPLACE and send a out blank file for each file you sent out.

    I'll admit that I haven't seen the files he actually distributed, but in what way is there a problem? The v4.71 version is what is available for free download at the website, & I didn't see anything about not being able to distribute it in other ways.

    'Course, I'd also prefer to see the source available for that version...

    Well, since GPL _is_ a copyright (I used it myself), I'm not sure what your point is... It's also Creative Commoms. And the art & music, etc, is used by permission...

    And note that this is separate from what I think about distributing large files that are freely available from a web site....
