I copied some text I wrote tonight from filegate.zxx:

% I've added a new file echo to WIN_FDN: win_lgame. I've recently been
% inundated with HUGE game files from authors.. I used to think 8M was
% big. These files are generally over half a gig sometimes a gig.
% I won't add any of the filegate HUBs to this area, if you want me to
% add you, let me know :)

I was thinking last night that some of the graphics were very nice looking in one or two of them, moreso than one might normally find in "freeware" games. But...after dealing with some of these files today, it was insane.

For all the $$ these guys send us to destribute their crap, you know what I mean? :)

Yep..

I was thinking last night that some of the graphics were very nice
looking in one or two of them, moreso than one might normally find
in "freeware" games. But...after dealing with some of these files
today, it was insane.

i don't think i have any machines that will even run them... at least none that
i am willing to install them on... there's too much sneaky stuff going on in the world and too many games carry phone-home stuff that reports more than just
the game's usage... frankly, i just don't trust them...
