    Say if a downlink wants to request an echo that is restricted (say a specific zone echo), how does one block that from an areafix request? The echo is in my areas.bbs but would also be nice to know how to block them from accessing the flagged echo lists that also lists the echo needed to be blocked. I've re4ad about PASSIVE mode but that seems to shut off all echos from being sent.


    I've just done the same thing here. Keep your areas.bbs intact. Make
    a Public and Private .bbs listing but only use the echotags in there.
    Set the echoflags for each link/node as to what they can use.
