    Hiya Rob....

    Quick question if I may.

Does sbbsecho conform to the SRIF standard when someone FREQ's a file?

    No.

If not, does it do anything that will create a .REQ file?

    No.

Reason I ask is somene is FREQ'ing a file from Synch and it comes in as netmail only and doesn't allow binkd to run the EXEc command to call ALLFIX.

I think normally you run a program to scan your netmail folder to find
    the requests and respond accordingly.

I do have ALLFIX run *IF* a .REQ file is present which conforms to the SRIF directive.

Can sbbsecho be configured to call ALLFIX if it sees a netmail to ALLFIX?

No, but you could configure Synchronet to run ALLFIX periodically to
    scan your netmail folder.

sbbsecho will have already tossed the incoming netmail and send it to #1 if there is no matching name so ALLFIX will see nothing.

    Thanks...

Joe, the problem is the sender is not generating a *.REQ file. I have the exec command set in binkd to trigger ALLFIX when it sees that file but if his system doesn't send it, nada. The sender was using an older version of binkd, 1.0.4 if I can rememeber correctly and from reading on the properties of SRIF, it maybe the mailer that generates the *.REQ file when it sees a netmail with FREQ in the subject. Still working on it.

So did you figure out what happened with my routed request that you
asked me to send? I'm pretty sure you and I have compatible versions
    of Binkd <G>

Yes, routed FREQ's will not work. Need to be direct.

I'm getting more of a handle on it thanks to Mark.
